A Silver Alert is a public notification system in the United States designed to broadcast information about missing persons, particularly senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other mental disabilities, to aid in their safe recovery. It functions similarly to an Amber Alert but specifically targets vulnerable older adults who have gone missing.
