Jacob deGrom, a professional baseball pitcher, underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2023, which is expected to sideline him for the remainder of the 2023 MLB season and potentially part of the 2024 season. Prior to his injury, he signed a five-year contract with the Texas Rangers in December 2022.
